This is a question Hypocrisy

Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

I can never understand why women want to take men shopping with them.
Unless their paying of course.

Why make someone do something you know for a fact that they don't enjoy. Am I missing something?

Edit - *laughs* Oh yes! it's payback for performing blowjobs.

on the blowjob comment...
surely blowjobs are to pay for cunnilingus?

I have a theory that it's about the girl wanting to exercise some sort of "power" over her fella. Possibly to show off to other women that they have caught a man - "look, I have one and he's so well-trained he even lets me get away with this crap!"

Let's face it, the rise of the fear of being branded sexist or homophobic throughout the 1980s and 90s has meant that men are actually scared and apologetic for asking to spend time with lifelong friends in case their wife/girlfriend feels abandoned, or some other crap. Yet, if their missus gets invited on a girly night out, you can bet your ass all he will get is a text or call saying "I'm going out with the girls on friday". If he dares question this, or worse - he asks if he can go out on friday with his mates, too - you can guarantee he'll spend at least a month in a the doghouse, presumably with time off for good behaviour (shoe shopping, listening to her bitch about her "friends" behind their back, basically not wandering off while she does that peculiarly female thing of letting every single thoguht in her head fall out of her mouth without ever breaking the flow...) - yup, I might not be Mr Metrosexual, but I can claim to be in the right for two reasons:

1) I'm married and both myself and my wife are happy - people often comment on how happy we are as a couple, so I can't be a total prick.

2) Women tell men they want a kind, sensitive, thoughful, caring, non-threatening type who cooks, likes babies, weepy films and bacardi breezers, gossiping and is basically a girl with testicles. However, all you guys who are driving yourself crazy trying to win the girl of your dreams - ask yourself this: "If she wants a man to be all those things before she will consider him, why is she fucking some tattooed neanderthal that works in a warehouse?" - The simple answer is women say all that stuff is what they want because people like Germaine Greer say it's what they want and they don't want to be kicked out of the Sisterhood for contradicting such paragons of feminism. What they actually want is a man who knows his mind, whilst not being selfish, who can make them feel protected when they feel scared and who makes them feel like they don't have to make all the decisions all the time. In short, they want a man to be a Man.

Let's face it, girls, that famous iconic poster that defined Modern Man (i.e the black and white photo of the guy with five o'clock shadow and no shirt holding a baby)would not have been on half as many walls had he not had the large biceps, six pack and pectorals you could break walnuts on, so stop lying to us and fooling yourselves! :-)

I was joking about the blowjobs.
And maybe your wife is happy because she has low expectations.

Just saying.

getting personal....
well, let's see, you didn't like the comment so you attack either my wife (for having low standards), or myself. Uncalled for and the reaction of the person who can't think of anything intelligent to add to the conversation. What's next - "your mum's fat"? "ner ner ner"?

Frankly, I'd have expected something a bit more erudite on this forum...how disappointing.

I wasn't getting personal.
Do you actually know what happens on this website?

We all post stuff and take the piss.

I thought I'd better warn you in case you get upset again.

fair enough...
but just watch out, or I'll tell the teacher....

Seriously, though, I don't mind a heated debate (in fact it's good fun).

Erudition on b3ta?
Boy, did you get the wrong idea.

hehehe
Erudition.

Sounds a bit like erection.

Also, it's got "rude" in it.

My favourite word in a sans-serif font
is "burns".

Because if I'm tired, or just not paying attention, it looks like "bums".
