I'm not quite sure how this is hypocrisy.If the first pub was the best of a bad bunch, of course that's where you're going to end up.

The point he's makingIs that women stereotypically do this with clothes shopping. Therefore as a man if you exhibit the same behaviour, see how tolerant they will be of it.
