Carol was and still is gorgeous. Can anyone else really think of another good reason besides her for how a one hour show about spelling and arithmetic became so popular in the first place?

I don't know about "gorgeous"...
...but she's not bad. Bit "mumsy", to my eyes.

She certainly doesn't look skeletal in the pictures in that link though!
