I can build many things
quality shelving, long lasting furniture, I once built an office, stud walls and all, I can build nice websites ,I make a mean spliff and am a right fucking Ramsey in the kitchen but I would not have faith in a pc I built myself... also it would look shit, however the self customising options would be great... cup holders, kettle attachment - fuckit ! why not a coffee tea dispenser and a little biscuit maker on the side... this is the future of home and small office computing...

Seriously nowhere near as hard as you think
Building a PC
Take one inept cretin, no technical knowledge, minimal budget.. stew for few weeks reading stuff up via Google, mix parts from sites like scan.co.uk or overclockers, follow instructions pedantically to the letter, throw the switch...
Result = a happy LabRat, with a shiny behemoth machine (Beastly) thats still going strong 3 years later..
And they dont have to look shit. I bought a nice sleek black case to slot all the bits into. Although this then resulted in a dastardly urge to cram in as may flashy lights as possible, ridiculous :S
