This is a question Losing it

Bluehamster tells us: "This morning I found myself filling my mug not a teabag, but with Shreddies." Tell us of the times when you've convinced yourself that you're losing your marbles.

Car Keys.

In the fridge.

With alarming regularity.

*TOP TIP* My dad does this deliberately..
he goes shopping at lunch to get meat for dinner, he used to leave it in the fridge at work regularly until he started leaving his keys with it so he couldn't leave without it

Me too.
I used to forget to take a packed lunch unless I left my keys on top of it in the fridge.

Freezer.
Usually fairly drunk/stoned at the time.

I do this too but usually
run round the building in a panic at going home time forgetting that the keys are in or next to the fridge. Best to leave modern keys packed with micro electronics next to and not in the fridge, I've heard

I lost mine the other day
Quite a large bunch of keys, car, house, shed, work keys + assorted key fobs, data sticks & a mini star wars light saber. Not easy to loose. I had looked everywhere & was begining to get a little worried, then the cat got up stretched and padded out the room. The keys were under the cat. He must have been so uncomfortable.

If you're filming or recording audio in a room with a fridge
... like maybe in an office, then even with proper mikes you'll pick up the "click whurrrrrr" of the compressor kicking in and the "click tunk tunk tunk tunk tunk" as it drops out. This will ruin your recording, because you won't notice it at the time but it will be horribly apparent when you go to edit.

Turn the fridge off and put your car keys inside it. That way you won't forget to turn it back on before you go.

I am actually a cameraman/sound engineer, so that's a good tip... I usually just blame someone else for not turning it back on.

My version of this was my bra
But just the once, although my husband still suggests I search the freezer whenever I can't find it. Now I don't put away laundry and groceries at the same time.
