When have you had to be brave when all you've wanted to do was weep like a blubber-titted bitch?
Tell us so we can judge you.

This all changed when i had kids.
Recently what has got to me is the Daniel Pelka case. I have found myself really upset at the thought of that poor little lad being tortured by his own mother. I have a son around the same age and hearing the details on the case has been very distressing to the point where I have had to leave the room when it has been on tv.
Still don't cry at films though

But I think there is a special place in hell for that kid's parents.

The Daniel Pelka case is just the latest Victoria Kolumbie/Baby P case to hit the headlines.
Some people are, sadly, just scum.
Some in-law on Facebook posted an RIP pic of him, and reading the discussion was just like reading "From The Messageboards" in Private Eye. Which was equally depressing.
Still - for now, there is still always drink.

like all of life's experiences it make it easier to empathise with people who have have similar/related experiences. it's only a revelation if you were previously massively lacking in empathy/humanity in general. so like most people really.

But it does bring it home to you. Imagining what that kid went through is enough to make my piss boil at how anyone could do that to a child.
