Labour leader Ed Miliband recently dashed into the middle of a road to save a fallen cyclist. Who has come to your rescue? Have you ever been the rescuer?

my cousin
saved me from a week of massive family squabbles, babysitting, housework and occasional boredom by taking me on a free holiday to weymouth.
got shat on by a seagull, but it was still great!

My Mum and Dad are in Cornwall at the moment.
On their first day my Dad went and bought a cornish pasty, stood outside the shop ready to take his first bite, a seagull swooped in and took the entire thing straight out of his hands, it left him with the empty bag though!

I remember reversing up a few!
Posh rich bastard with your shop bought!
I was on a really tight buget, I used to go into cafes and ask for a flask of hot water every morning so I could make a drink. I had twelve nights sleeping in my car as I made my way down the south coast to Lands End, then back up the north coast to Lynton/Lynmouth before setting off home.

my cousin just got a job in weymouth
and she and her partner booked a holiday apartment for a week, while sorting out a flat. i thought we were staying in a caravan, not a swanky apartment directly overlooking chesil beach! i had hardly a penny, as they invited me the day before we went. they spoiled me rotten all week, taking me to the river cottage cafe in axminster and to see the new star trek film in dorchester, not to mention all the cafe visits and paying for all my food!

Ow sounds great.
What did you have at the river cottage, was it good bad or average, expensive or reasonably price?
