This is a question My Arch-nemesis

I lived in fear of a Darth Vader-esque school dinner lady who stood me perpetually at the naughty table for refusing to eat mushy peas. An ordeal made worse after I was caught spooning the accursed veg into her wellies. Who, we ask, has wrecked your life?

Thanks to Philly G for the suggestion

not as many..
as Tony Blair and Gordon Brown have managed to do with their cavalier attitude to the realities of Global Economics and blind ignorance of total logic.

Maggie might have brought some union-led industries into the 20th century (where the UK had to face the reality that we can't compete with China and the like on heavy manufacturing AND have decent wages, etc - the reason stuff's made out there is the simple fact that people won't pay for goods at the costs it would to manufacture if fair wages were paid), but she didn't cripple three generations with paying back National Debt, take the UK to the same level as Botswana in Global Economic rankings, lose any willingness to stand up to the USA on Global issues and do more damage to the sovreign status of the UK than all the former wars we have fought...

So, I guess you'll vote for the one-eyed wonder on May the 6th, eh?

Yes, she made mistakes, but she also dragged the british car industry up to spec by persuading Nissan to set up over here.

You can pretty much divide the population into two groups;
People who want something for nothing who hate Thatcher.
People who work hard and love Thatcher.
