This is a question How nerdy are you?

This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.

So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?

As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.

Revel in your own nerdiness.

Just remembered.
I used to read 2000AD and I remember buying the first issue, but didnt' keep it. BUGGER!

I also wanted to be Tankgirl but thought I was too fat to shave my head.

Give me a chance here, I'm trying my best to fit in.

Borag Thungg, Earthlet

I too had issue #1 of 200AD

I think I coloured in some of larger panels and certainly cut quite a bit of it up to stick in my scrap book which I later threw away

I had the Tankgirl thing as well
Which is why there are no photos of me aged 13 to 15. What was I thinking?!

I also had 2000AD #1
the stickers, spinny thing, the lot. Hell, I used to read Starlord which preceded it. I read the comic for about 10 years, and for most of that time it was bloody great. Value? Even mint with all the extras it only fetches about £40 which, considering the influence it had on a large number of people ( that and Warrior ), is a gross undervaluing. Well, gold sinks and shit floats.

i'm going to be sorry i aksed but ...
why would the *perception* of fatness preclude you from a number 0 haircut? aren't the majority of shavie-heided blokes fat, for example?

^^
I thought only skinny girls looked good with shaved heads. You have to be quite attractive to carry the look off.
