I first heard the word cromulant in an episode of The Simpsons that was about the forming of the townand about how its founder had slain a buffalo.
I wondered if that was the connection you were making.

Ah, no, I think that's just a coincidence(Though I do love the line "the buffalo was already tame, I merely shot it.")
