I blame the Met's love of kettleingthey bang on about it like they're very very clever for keeping people in one area until they're so pissed off and hungry they go home.
That's why people weren't following the routes, thats why people were activley trying to avoid the police.

Well if I was boxed in, told I couldn't go down a public street,was cold, hungry and needed a piss and then got charged at by a horse, I certainly wouldn't be pissed off and would head right home. The MET are heavy handed bastards at the best of times.
