I am rather hirsute.
Unfortunately most shower gels stick to the fur and won't wash out properly.
I once made the mistake of using some sort of waxy soap and was in the shower for about 45 minutes trying to wash it off.
Currently I am using Dove handwash which seems to do the trick.

I've tried brushes, loofahs, even nailbrushes.
And have settled on handwash and a buffer.
Seems to work, I don't stink TOO bad.
