However, horrendously painful experiences aside, my old housemate and I managed to successfully brew an ale flavoured with a scotch bonnet. (It tasted quite nice, but I think we've been too afraid to drink the remainder)

I reckon all the sloes will be gone, I wanted to make sloe gin. If you can find fucking elderflowers in London, you should be able to find fucking sloes.

Yeah, borough market is fun to visit but I'd want to go more often if I lived in London, and I doubt I could afford it, it really is incredibly overpriced if you want to actually source stuff for a whole meal rather than just odds and sods.

I made a lovely dish last night, and whipped the leftovers into a tasty and healthy meal. In London I'm so weirded out by my kitchen I live on packet food.
