That is a thing of beauty.
I'm genuinely jealous, not that I can play more than a little melody or a few basic chords on one.

Something like, oh, I don't know, 'Live Forever'?

This, coming from someone who's remembered the name of one of their songs from sixteen fucking years ago.

'Don't look back in anger' is their 'best' one.
The first line is without doubt the worst lyric I have ever heard. Ever. I realise I am quite given to hyperbole, but on my life I cannot think of a more pathetic piece of writing.

It makes the Human League's 'The Lebanon' look like 'Waterloo Sunset'.

There's a few I like, couldn't pull their names out of a hat but I started my guitar career learning their simple melodies and variations on chords.

I started with 'Wild Thing' by The Troggs, I think.

I tried to drum along to Queens of the Stone Age - 'No One Knows' and '3's and 7's'
Set my sights a little atmospheric there.

I'd try Ramones songs first if I started drumming, I think.

Yeah, I can play along to a few of the simpler punk/rock tracks I tried
But they're a bit boring. I know it's all about keeping the rhythm, but I like a drum beat that gets the chance to just rock the fuck out at times.

'I Don't Live Today' by Jimi Hendrix has an interesting drum pattern
also 'Warning' by the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation (also covered by Black Sabbath).

Haha, so did I!

It's certainly very pretty
but I really need to get off my arse and play it more. The only reason I bought it was because my parents could never afford piano lessons for me as a kid, so I taught myself and when I came in to some inheritance I was like: damnit, I've wanted a piano for the last 15 years so I'm bloody going to buy one.

Nice work.
I don't know why I stopped playing. This time I'm determined to get good again and find a collaborator, maybe another guitarist, musician or vocalist to play some covers and write some stuff with. It's a teenage dream I lived out a little in my twenties but it fizzled out and I just got stuck playing the same old stuff.

I'll let you join Electric Head Funk if you like.
I've been thinking about getting the band back together.

No bent shit allowed, though.

And for that reason, I'm out.

Feels like everyone on b3ta
can play an instrument and wants to be in a band :(
