in a totally unrelated topic, I think I'm going to go see Black Swan by myself tonight.
have you ever been to a movie by yourself?

only thing that sucks is the closest place playing it is 40 miles away

Oh totally
One Valentine's Day I found myself in Liverpool on a training course. I used to go to uni there, but most of my mates had left the city, or were busy with their partners that night, so I trudged over to the cinema by myself.
I ended up watching Final Destination 3, and I was the only single person in the half-full cinema.

Oh, I saw that one. It was well gross.
So, yeah, my friend wants to see it too but the place she wants to go to won't have it until January and I'm not waiting that long.

I've never been to the cinema by myself, no.
I can't remember the last film I went to see at the cinema, it was either Condorman or For Your Eyes Only.

I'm not a regular at the flea-pit.

I make it about once a year maybe. It's not my favorite place. I love movies but hate uncomfortable chairs.

Me neither.
They're a fucking ripoff and I always went to sleep.

That said I went to see the Lemmy film with a bottle of Jack Daniels and A HOT CHICK and had a great time. Cinemas with bars in are so much more civilised. I used to like the Parkway cinema in Camden, they had a pianist playing silent movie music in the foyer, and I sat behind Bill Oddie when i saw Jurassic Park.

This is perhaps my most pathetic name-drop ever.

I have done it a few times
I don't see the problem with it.

see, I've heard this, I've never plucked up the courage though
I think that tonight is the night

I don't think of the cinema as a social thing to do anyway
you sit in the dark and don't speak to each other.

I've never been to the cinema alone.
But being alone sometimes is nice.

I saw Sherlock Holmes by myself
I quite like it personally
