I was just out shopping and through the haze of latent rage at other shoppers and a slight self-satisfied glow of having bought some nice gifts
I treated myself to half a kilo of top-quality bacon from the butcher. I'm tempted to eat the whole lot with a selection of sauces before I go out tonight.

I bought one gift in mid-November, another online, and the other back in Manc.
They're pretty nice, I'm just disappointed my dad's is fairly small. And a bit odd.

As for the bacon, do it. I'm starting to lose my taste for it, actually. Might go back to out-and-out veggi-ism.

Good luck! I find gift-wrapping so difficult, especially with thin paper. Sister's has been triple-wrapped as the corners kept pokign through. Sip the cider as you go. It'll make the last presents you wrap entertaining shapes.

I went walking with my folks a few weeks back and when we stopped for lunch I went investigating like I often do.
I found a few sloe bushes, went and got a container from my mum and picked fucking loads of them, like spent half an hour picking. They're steeping as we speak, should be ready in the middle of January, gonna dip them in chocolate and give them away as mad liquor sweets.
