YyyyyaaarrrrNo pirate related antics I'm afraid, although I did see a guy in the desert wearing a ski mask which just struck me as odd. Why would someone be dressed so stereotypically like a terrorist despite the impracticalities of such attire in 30 degree heat? Still, he didn't try and kidnap me so he can wear what he wants.
I'm just a fool who thought it would be a cool place to finish a tour of East Africa without realizing that this would mean spending both Christmas and New year in a country where alcohol is illegal. D'oh.
