I only popped down for 45 minutes, just had a couple of swift 'uns.

You're a quick drinker
Mind you, you've had plenty of practise.
(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:07, Reply)
Meh I've had a few in the last hour

(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:09, Reply)
I'm having a quiet one this evening.

(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:11, Reply)
Been drinking since 18.00
I don't know why I'm trumpeting that, it's nothing to be proud of.
(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:11, Reply)
It's a good effort.
Especially seeing that tomorrow is a major night on the drinking calendar.

Tomorrow
Is sociable - at my sister's neighbours. They're big into real ale so I'll be scoffing Old Scrottflanger's Mighty Buttockbellower all night.

Tonight is me. And any other b3tan who might care to join in.

I'll be up for a bit, but I'm not drinking much.
I've got to go and see the Doc is the morning!

Serious?
(Your choice of response here while I go out for a tab.)
(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:35, Reply)
Yeah, I was there today as well.

I was hoping for a comedy response
But some situations make your jokes fall flat.

Tell ya TD
Swift drinking is a curse.

Berk, Amberl, Jeff
D'you want an excuse?

Celebrate TD's last day of driving!

I'll miss it, but I'll not miss it.

Have you taken the promotion and 'careered off the road'?

(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:16, Reply)
Couldn't not, really

(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:17, Reply)
Will you be changing your login name to Blakey now?

(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:25, Reply)
Woo!
*toasts with vimto but is not especially sure why*
(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:17, Reply)
Because you've got Vimto?

TD
One-time Lloyds broker, then Warehouse Production Manager (my capitals - the job didn't deserve it) then Bus Driver (the job does deserve it - if you think it's easy, try it) is now manager of Bus Drivers.

I'm a manager by inclination and temprament which might sound very condescending but I am.

I didn't want to be a manager any more - retirement isn't too far away - but I've been sweet-talked into it and being an egotistical sort of chap I took it.
(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:33, Reply)
Fair enough
my brother drives buses so I hear from him all the time how shit it is. If it's a payrise for you and you'll be happier, then woo, what else matters?
(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:37, Reply)
I was unhappiest
When I was in the latter days in the Insurance industry - because it is just a big factory of money.

It did my head in. I once explained on here what happened and I don't think it'd be theraputic to go over it again.
(, Thu 30 Dec 2010, 23:50, Reply)
True
It fucks up rounds and creates tension and awkwardness.
