I put my daughter to bed and sat down to watch the redlettermedia episode 3 review. I only knew it was new year when fireworks went off. I drank a lot of home made parma violet vodka whilst watching though. Why on earth do we care so much?

I dissolved 7 and a half packs of Giant Parma violets
in to a big bottle of vodka then strained through a few sheets of kitchen towel in a sieve to remove the bits that won't dissolve and floated to the top. I tried coffee filters but they don't work as well as the kitchen towel. Comes out a lovely dark clear purple with the consistency of Sambuca and the awesome power of Parma Violets! I shall definitely be making more very soon, this bottle has lasted a couple of days.

Against my better judgement, that sounds fucking lush.
I reckon I'm pretty much entirely off the booze for good now, my body gave me a warning Christmas day to not get pissed again.

The stuff left in the sieve
is like a chalky parma violet mousse with the hit of after shave I presume its taking all the shit out of the cheap vodka.
