My own sister quite demonstrably didn't love that stuff.
Various well-meaning relatives did buy her dolls and other gifts in the Barbie/Disney princess vein, but these seemed to end up gathering dust in favour of things with puppies and kitties on _{which meant the dolls got left in my charge and this is why I turned out to be such a rampant, screaming, effete bumder today}, or occasionally dinosaurs, which as everybody knows would be the best of all the animals if the horses hadn't conspired to render them extinct.

I was still playing with dolls till around 13/14.
But this did consist of putting pins in them punk style and cutting off all their hair.

I used to bury my action figures in the garden and my dad would constantly be bringing
muddy he man and thunder cat action figures back in. It was only when I got into the turtles that I started to cherish the toys more.
