Am playing shit music very loudly through shit headphones and I've run out of fags I'd let myself on non-special occasions.
But I'm not too miserable. How goes it with you?

I'm tired, my favourite football team lost 4-0 today as well, so that was a wasted afternoon sitting in the cold.
Still, the cider was nice. Every cloud and all that.

I know I said this a few nights ago but I can feel myself drifting off and I want to shower, have breakfast and be in Central London for 11am, so an early night beckons.
Who was the team? Glad to hear the cider was nice. I should probably broaden my horizons of "cider I like" beyond Savanna and Strongbow (only with black)

They're kreteks and Ziganovs. Have 10 cherry kreteks left, 20 black kreteks and 20 cherry Ziganovs. This probably has to last me until I go back to Manchester, or I can find a specialised tobacconist.
Mmm, kreteks. Definitely think I'll have one for post-Tayyab's wallowing. Are you ok for a place to stay?
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 22:15, Reply)
is that still okay? I can find somewhere else to crash if you don't have room.
Do they actually taste of cherries? And surely you'd be more likely to find a special tobacconist in London than in Manchester?
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 22:18, Reply)
But that is perfectly fine - will you be driving, or training? If the former, I'll have a scout around to see if there's anywhere you can park (I live in quite a suburban area, though I do live in a close we don't have a designated parking spot) If train, there are buses from St Pancras, Euston, Paddington, Liverpool Street and Victoria, so that's pretty much all your bases there (no tube, sadly) But no, no, there's a bus from mine pretty much to Tayyab's that goes over Tower Bridge, which is pretty.
They taste of cherries in the same way that menthol fags taste of mint. So, not an awful lot, but if you were looking for a word to describe them, that would be it. Kreteks are clove cigarettes anyway, so that's the dominant (and nommy) taste.

I feel this is going to be my new look.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 22:26, Reply)
Not going to go the whole hog, though some of my dresses have in-built petticoats and I have a hankering after a proper one.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 22:30, Reply)
it really is ok if you don't have room! I would be grateful if you do though, and can give you cake in exchange for crash space...
And I'll be coming down in the morning and generally having a wander until the afternoon, so I'll probably meet you at Tayyab's or just before or something for a drink.
Kreteks sound quite nice actually.

The sofa is surprisingly comfortable, though I have no spare blankets, which might be an issue. I might invest in one, for when I get too hot in the summer.
Ok- I recommend Brick Lane (well, one shop on Brick Lane to be honest... and it's not even on Brick Lane, but that's beside the point) as that's very near to Whitechapel.
I'll give you one. And a cigarette, as well.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 22:34, Reply)
but if you've got something else I can use I'd prefer that to humping a sleeping bag round London. But it's no bother.
I was planning to have a wander down Oxford street maybe, and the science museum or natural history museum. And then maybe Spitalfields on Sunday? I've never been down Brick Lane, is it good?
And cheers, hehe.

I think I went to a tattoo convention which was down that way somewhere. It's meant to be all boutiquey and stuff. I really don't know most of London very well, it's my intention to have a good explore next weekend.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 23:08, Reply)
I want to go to the Cov one too.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 23:28, Reply)
I don't know, you're fairly tattooed and pierced and whatnot. There were a lot of people wandering round with their tatts out though, and a lot of amazing art.
Sigh. I wanna tattoo.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 23:32, Reply)
You should totally get tattoos :D
I'll find out the dates of the Cov covention
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 23:49, Reply)
but 1) they're expensive and 2) once they're there, they're there forever. The idea of having something permanently inked in to my skin scares me a bit. At least with my piercings, if I take them out they'll heal up more or less like they'd never been there.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 23:56, Reply)
We'll go to Cov or London convention and find you the style and/or artists you like.

Should you ever head west, you can do worst things than spending a couple of hours in The Apple.
www.applecider.co.uk/?page=drinks
You can sit in the sun and drink pint after pint after pint of lovely, lovely apples.

Sounds like a winner thought!
*Makes note to get on the Bristol Pimms this summer*

A pint might be excessive, but it saves me getting up for refills

did I miss that when I was in Bristol?! That place looks awesome.

'Jeff, I'm coming to Bristol, where should I drink?;
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 22:50, Reply)
I should have known about a pub like that.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 22:53, Reply)
It might not have been there when you lived in Bristol.
What year did you leave?
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 22:57, Reply)
summer 2004? Looking on google maps, it seems to be the other side of the quays that I never really explored.
(, Sat 15 Jan 2011, 23:00, Reply)
And you couldn't see a boat full of Babylonion cider carnage, it wasn't there when you lived here.
