40 miles to get a takeout?
That is mental, mental behaviour.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 13:34, Reply)
technically it's 80, since it's 40 to and from
but it's so delicous :(
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 13:38, Reply)
That makes it even more mental.

it's worth it
it's nothing fancy, but it's very good, and you can't get anything that clean, wholesome and delicious anywhere near here
most of the restaurants are chains and the food is cooked in plastic bags or if it's cooked by hand then all of the restaurants are the same-italian or chinese, they all have the same shit, maybe a slight variation on the taste, but it's all the same

You could open your own restaurant?

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 13:48, Reply)
no training
although I am an awesome cook, it's not anything that would hold open a restaurant, not even my ability to make amazing salad and monster nomwiches

That's what it's like over there.
No corner shops or local takeaways.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 13:38, Reply)
Based on that.
If you've got a half-decent restaurant and people are happy to drive distances of 40 miles for a resonable meal, you should be making a fortune.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 13:41, Reply)
we have plenty of them
but it's all the shame shit, Blousie, I swear what is the point in having these restaurants that all serve the same fucking food
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 13:42, Reply)
I guess I'm thinking more of the folks that live in the suburbs outside of the towns.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 13:46, Reply)
we really don't have the corner shops like we used to
now it's 7-11s
My town, literally, has 6 in 9.5 square miles
