How's the road trip fella?

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 16:55, Reply)
So awesome it's making my pants wet.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 16:56, Reply)
Yeah blame the road trip, Noel.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 16:57, Reply)
I can't help being a raging pissmonster, Monty.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 16:58, Reply)
Raining then?
Whereabouts are you now?
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 16:58, Reply)
Landed in Oxford about an hour ago, wandering into town to meet Amberl for noodles in a bit.
Been to a 6,000 year old stone circle today, and a Roman villa, and a gorgeous valley near Stroud. It's been a good day.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:00, Reply)
Oh, which stone circle?
Didn't realise there was one close-ish by.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:02, Reply)
Rollright.

Ta! Near Chipping Norton I see, that's nor far away at all
I'll see about driving over there in the summer.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:06, Reply)
Hmm, it's 16 miles away from my house
That's nicely doable on bike, I'll cycle instead.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:12, Reply)
It's a good spot, take lunch with you to kill half an hour or so.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:14, Reply)
I'll need that half hour to get my breath back ;)
Looks to be entirely one road from Stratford to Long Compton, so an easy trip, so long as there are no mountains en route.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:15, Reply)
WARNING: FUCKING HILLY

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:22, Reply)
Hmm, I know the route to Shipston's fairly flat
I should be averaging 20mph until that part at least, so I can take my time with the hills when I get close to the stones.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:25, Reply)
I think you're a mental.
don't get me wrong, you're ace, but you're a mental as well.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:28, Reply)
Haha, cheers!
If I keep the cycling up by the summer I'll be much fitter and trimmer, so that'll help. Did you enjoy the stones? 6,000 year-old stone circles kinda blow the mind a bit!
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:29, Reply)
If you want a fairly flat but interesting cycle ride
I'm planning to do this when the weather gets better, also probably taking in this as well.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:33, Reply)
Nice trip!

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:34, Reply)
If you can get to Telford
and you are both free the weekend I go and can be bothered, you are welcome to come with.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:37, Reply)
Did you go to the fallen knights too?

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:06, Reply)
Yup.
Second time I've been, I wanted to take Poppet to something ancient, and she's already met Monty.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:10, Reply)
They are fucking great.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:07, Reply)
Rollrights by the sound of it.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:05, Reply)
North Leigh too, cracking.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:11, Reply)
That does look good for a Summer day out.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:16, Reply)
My legs are still aching from all those bloody hills. :(

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:02, Reply)
You poor thing!
Mean Noel, making you walk! He should be carrying you.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:03, Reply)
He's SO unchivalrous.
I am seriously considering chucking him out of the BST, what do you reckon?
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:05, Reply)
*braces self*

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:06, Reply)
You raise a good point
I don't fancy having to look for replacements though, so we'll have to just be the Top Two.
(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:07, Reply)
*does complicated secret handshake*

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:09, Reply)
In all fairness, he did stop when I asked him for breaks. Which was often.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:23, Reply)
You're meant to roll them up when you go paddling...

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 16:58, Reply)
And roll them down when you go piddling...

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:00, Reply)
That too.

(, Mon 24 Jan 2011, 17:01, Reply)
