Not dancing - visiting Ms Foxtrot's sister in Bristol. Although I was asked to dance at the Pink Jukebox that weekend. Try to guess what that is

I must admit, 'dancing at the Pink Jukebox' sounds suspiciously similar to 'playing the pink oboe'.

The only defence I have is that I was asked to lead

Is the suggestion that there's nothing masculine about it. The Ballroom discipline involves dignity, grace, power, elegance and being pressed up against a beautiful woman (unless you're Natalie Lowe's partner) throughout. It's not even slightly gay, leading is absolutely masculine. Although I will concede that this is less the case when you replace that beautiful woman with a bumder.
LATIN Ballroom is gay as tits, however.

Not that I've ever indulged in either. To dance Ballroom you should look like you're on your way to a costume ball at the Ritz, dressed as Gene Kelly's more sophisticated (and much younger) brother

I DON'T HAVE TIME TO WRITE A BUMDER ALERT AS I HAVE TO CATCH A TRAIN AND AT ANY RATE YOU CAN PROBABLY GUESS WHAT THE CONTENTS WOULD HAVE BEEN. YOU BIG BUMDER.++
