but I agree the timing of the bid is rubbish, this is the first time this season he hasn't looked like a move would do him good

I'm not sure, I'd say we'll have to see.
He's not showing frustration yet, and has stuck in. Come end of season, it could be entirely different. I'm confident he'll still be there come summer.

If the alternative is seeing him at Chelsea I hope so
but I'd rather not have him in the Premiership as we should be back up there next season
