I need a minimum of 6 to function
but 8 is the ideal. I haven't had 8 hours decent sleep in ages though :(

I blame the storage heaters.
You seem to spend loads of time in bed keeping warm but not sleeping.

Possibly
although I don't buy in to that whole 'bed is for sleeping, if you get used to just sitting around in it you'll struggle to sleep in it' thing. I did the same at uni for the same reason with absolutely no problems. And although I might be warmer in the spring and summer, I sleep less well when it's light outside early.

Are you waiting for a child to
arrive at your house and tell you he has found a golden ticket for a trip to a chocolate factory?

Alt: What have you learnt from your last PhD interview?
(, Tue 8 Feb 2011, 0:23, Reply)
I'm not, but that would surely brighten my day
that said, Cadbury World is only about 10 minutes away and it's meant to be very dull.
I have learnt that being nervous is ridiculous, and also that I should know that answers to obvious questions.

In which case.
Approach the interview full of confidence.
(, Tue 8 Feb 2011, 0:29, Reply)
I can't, I suffer dreadfully from nervousness in exams and interviews and stuff like that
but I will try to relax a bit more this time.

It is a two way process though.
If you think the labs and facilities are shit, voice your concerns, ask what investment is being made. Make them feel like they'd be lucky to have you.
