It annoys me.
There is no point me going to bed either, as I'll get all wound up at not being able to sleep I'll fail to sleep for longer.

do you need much or can you just keep going without it?
(, Tue 8 Feb 2011, 0:10, Reply)
Occasionally, I'll sleep for 12 hours +, but it's rare.
I can go for weeks of going to bed at 3 or 4am and then getting up at 8am without too many problems, then it'll hit me. And when it hits, it hits in a massive way.
You don't seem to get that much sleep either, how many hours a night do you get?
(, Tue 8 Feb 2011, 0:13, Reply)
but 8 is the ideal. I haven't had 8 hours decent sleep in ages though :(

You seem to spend loads of time in bed keeping warm but not sleeping.

although I don't buy in to that whole 'bed is for sleeping, if you get used to just sitting around in it you'll struggle to sleep in it' thing. I did the same at uni for the same reason with absolutely no problems. And although I might be warmer in the spring and summer, I sleep less well when it's light outside early.

arrive at your house and tell you he has found a golden ticket for a trip to a chocolate factory?
Alt: What have you learnt from your last PhD interview?

that said, Cadbury World is only about 10 minutes away and it's meant to be very dull.
I have learnt that being nervous is ridiculous, and also that I should know that answers to obvious questions.

but I will try to relax a bit more this time.

If you think the labs and facilities are shit, voice your concerns, ask what investment is being made. Make them feel like they'd be lucky to have you.

How is the world of cooking treating you?
I had fears of you living on sarnies some months back, are you eating well?
(, Tue 8 Feb 2011, 0:38, Reply)

From the Monday night poker game at the uni. Went out of the tournament early, but won all my money back and another £43 in the cash game so it's not all bad.
