G11 every time for meIt's an ugly beast for sure, but it's a better camera than many of the basic DSLRs. Plus you can get reasonably-priced wide angle & flash attachments and suchlike
EDIT: the G12 must be out soon. Hang fire

Excellent planAnything under £400 for that camera is a fucking bargain, although it's nearly 2 years old it's robust as fuck
