I've often thought I'd suit a Mediterranean climate betterSo I would seriously consider parts of France, Italy or Spain. Portugal's alright but now has too great a density of British people to make it worth the move. Anywhere which is, on average, a good few degrees warmer than here and encourages me to drink wine at lunchtime ticks quite a few boxes for me.
Probably not the best places to which to do a runner, however. Being EU members, and quite close to Blighty, and all that.

ThisSouthern Spain was amazing when I went, I would love to live there as long as it wasn't too remote. Having a government-recommended nap in the afternoons is a great idea.

This would be perfectMy fucked-up body clock insists on waking me up early, and I'm usually dozing off by early-to-mid-afternoon. Just like now in fact. This wouldn't be a problem if I had a good bottle of Rioja and a hammock in my office.
