I'll be getting some Chilterns under my boots on Sunday.

This will be my first foray into nature since I did the three peaks last June

I'll do it one year, probably next. I fancy Snowdon this year if I can manage to get up there and back without spending much, possibly a hundred-miler over five days for fundraising too, then maybe Ridgeway next spring and after that, who knows?

I did some of it a few years ago, wild camped and everything; I'd love to go back and do some more but it's finding the time/money etc.

I only managed 10 miles a day, but that was on my own with a full pack, and it's very up and down. I did lose half a stone in 4 days though.
I want to go back and do Newquay to St Ives, it looks lovely.

The up and down suits me, I didn't even feel it the next day which amazed me.

I felt it! I probably wouldn't now though, I'm an awful lot fitter. It pissed my sister off no end when we did the c2c that I was entirely fine throughout and afterwards and she was dying.

I am still at a loss as to why I agreed to it, to be honest, except that it was for charity.

I thought I would feel massively croissant-y at the end, but I didn't, and I think I'd have enjoyed it more if I'd gotten a decent feeling of accomplishment when I finished.

There's a chance that makes me a pessimist but in my heart I know that's not true.

easier said than done though, I think. And after 3 days of cycling 50 miles/10 hours a day, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to feel like I've achieved something, or be a bit smug instead of just 'meh, is that it?' :)
