I am in no position to judge, given how much time I've been wasting on the Blood Bowl computer game recently.
I am assuming that these are better than the Ian Watson tripe they used to publish?

I haven't read any of those. I've read the first couple of these, and they aren't bad. Quite interestingly written, because of the nature of the space marines.
