I love their sound.So playful, but structurally and rhythmically complex. I also love Autechre- similar thing, but po faced rather than playful. Where Plaid do melody and charm, Autechre do deliberately awkward and verging on the unlistenable. Still very, very good though.
Have you heard Plone?

I like that.Autechre started out doing very melodic, beautifully textured electronica and techno, as they've gone more complex they have also steered well away from tunes.
Love them to bits though, I dig how instrumental, inaccessible, difficualt music can be so political. GY!BE and Mogwai do it too, as did Zan Lyons.
