I feel sure you could do something with fuse wire - wrap it around a few components. It should last just about long enough to short something out without blowing something up. That or reverse the polarity on a nice big capacitor, switch the TV on while stood a long way away, then return the blackened capacitor to it's original state. The good bit about doing that is that it will probably take a few other bits along with it, rendering the thing un-fixable.

For something less explosive, pick one tiny diode, unsolder it and replace it the wrong way around. Should work, and it would be properly hard to find.
