Sugar syrup is not recommended in place of surgery, no(it does make an excellent base for fake blood though, but you shouldn't forget that you've left a container of it in a plastic bag for 4 months because it ferments. I speak from extremely messy and traumatic experience.)

It was for hallowe'en.it was much better than the stuff you get in shops.
I found it last weekend. It was...not good.
