that would be dreadful.there's nothing actually wrong with it, but lemon and sugar is the king of pancake toppings and I'm always disappointed when I have something else, although the one you described earlier did sound pretty good.
Lamentably I'm not at home for pancake day, which means I won't get to make them myself.

I made Dime bar cookies at the weekend(and some chocolate orange ones too). I am actually ashamed by how many I ate - they were obscenely good.
