Arthropods
Most people will just say spiders, but I am also unnerved by various scorpions, centipedes, mantids, beetles and Beatles.

The other one is needles, but it depends what they're doing: I'm fine with hot meaty injections, but when they put needles in to take stuff out of me, I get strangely freaked out.

centipedes uuggggghhhhhh

(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 15:51, Reply)
Some of the smaller species I'm alright with - particularly the ones that just look like bronze millipedes
Scutigera, on the other hand, I take quite some issue with.

yeah, they get all up in your house and uuuuuugghhhhhhhhh
I'm fucking itching all over now, ta

Yeah
I was put off sleeping on the floor when I realised that it is where tiny spiders occasionally roam

Do you have any idea how many bed bugs there are in your bed?
In old feather pillows, something like 40% of the entire weight of the pillow can be bed bug feaces

I'm killing my bed now.
Thanks.

ARGH! KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!
Actually, what type of spider is that? Despite its terrifying appearance, it looks interesting. From a distance.
(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 16:01, Reply)
+ of about 2 miles

Bed spider is watching you masturbate

Jumping spider?
That one isn't too troubling - its mandibles seem a much more sensible size.
(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 16:04, Reply)
God knows what the other one is...just did some googling

I caught a couple of giant millepedes when i was in africa
they were really rather sweet!

Insects are fascinating as long as they aren't in my mouth/bed/pants
(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 15:53, Reply)
sweet? they tell you you had nice shoes?

(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 15:54, Reply)
No, they get all scared and curl up in a nice neat little ball
Also their feet tickle
(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 15:55, Reply)
Millipedes are fine
They just look like really long woodlice and I'm fine with that. Centipedes are upsetting for some reason.

(Edit: Also, neither of them are actually insects - they are myriapods, which I think is an awesome name.)
(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 15:58, Reply)
Fair enough, for the sake of argument they can be lumped together today
I love woodlice, best of all the lice
(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 16:01, Reply)
Ah, well woodlice are crustaceans
So probably more closely related to crabs than millipedes or insects.

("Arthropods" will cover all the creatures listed thus far, I think.)
(, Tue 22 Mar 2011, 16:02, Reply)
In that case i love arthropods
Funnily enough I had a pet crab on a holiday to Devon when I was little which i called Arthur
