It's made me feel bad
about complaining all the time.

But I am curious as to why the programme treats it only as a race issue, rather than as body dysmorphia

because body dysmorpha
is just normal these days

It is a race issue really.
Men in Africa and India prefer the paler women as it gives them some sort of status.

But the programme
keeps ignoring that loads of the procedures are things that are done by white people to conform as well, not just by black and asian people. And ignoring the fact that there are several characteristics that buck the trend- white women having ridiculous tans to an extreme level, or lip procedures to make them bigger, that kind of thing.

Maybe I just feel uncomfortable at the idea that white skin is so desirable

I thought you just meant whiter skin.
I guess white women just want to change the way they look to themselves and black women want to change how they look to others.

I'll go and watch it now.

I'd be interested
to hear your thoughts on it. It's on the front page of 4oD.

Very sad to watch.
But it's definitely an issue of race and not body dysmorphia. These people don't think they look ugly, they just want to fit in by looking European. That poor asian women who is slagged off by her own fucking people. It's a disgrace.

Hm. Echoes of days gone by to be honest.
Any woman of paler skin (no matter the race) was more desirable as it proved she was an indoor type and not given to all that nasty manual labour. It's all about the status innit.
