Do you rip out all the pages containing context fron your book?

no
but I can allow my mind to accept different contexts.

On a universal scale it is likely that there is other life. That has nothing to do with how much or where.

Thing is, if it's more than a few light years from us, the chances of us ever coming into contact with them
quickly become infinitesimally small.
(, Thu 24 Mar 2011, 13:43, Reply)
That is not what's being discussed here, though.

I know that Monty, that's why in this post:

I said that the chances of life existing are very high on a universal scale.

But the chances of us meeting any other life, is very, very, very, very, very, very, actually lets just go with my first comment and say infinitesimally small.

different definitions of interesting though, v
semantics over the difference between something being likely and something being very unlikely but if you add all those unlikely little pieces together it might then make it likely...

this is the kind of shit i spend my days arguing about. it is not interesting enough to be on here, surely.

I know
you'd think that given that she'd already edited that comment once, she would have noticed the other terrible error.

I'm not denying that
if films are anything to go by then it'd be bad anyway.

speaking of which, I watched Battle: Los Angeles.

It was shit.
(, Thu 24 Mar 2011, 13:45, Reply)
Oh really?
I was hoping for good things from that.
(, Thu 24 Mar 2011, 13:47, Reply)
me too
but it was dull, the camera work was bad, the script was poor, the acting weak, and it may as well not have been aliens invading.
(, Thu 24 Mar 2011, 13:49, Reply)
Oh well, I won't bother seeing it at the pictures
I'll just steal it when it comes out on DVD.
(, Thu 24 Mar 2011, 13:49, Reply)
I would have been pissed if I'd paid to see it
