Ooh, and there was a patch of wasteground called Sandy Banks that had a large hill in the middle with really steep sides - 45 to 60 degrees - that had various trails worn into it from BMX riding. We'd spend hours there seeing who'd risk the steepest runs on our knackered Grifters.
