This is terminally bad graphing
I just found a notice in my work kitchen made by the poeple that run the cafe, it includes a graph of the cost of coffe beans V their coffe cost and an in depth analysis of the coffee industry so as to justify a 10p rise in the price of a cup.

i'm quietly proud of them!

I like graphs
They're a convenient, simple and efficient way of showing data. Nothing better than a graph. Unfortunately, I don't get to do many at my job.
