There are cogent arguments that he was a key disciple.After all, if you retarded enough to believe the farcical 'ACTUALLY he meant to be arrested, betrayed and killed ACTUALLY, that was the plan' hogwash, then the person entrusted with the 'other' key role in the enterprise was the betrayer and thus likely to be a top chap.
