people are always telling me about films I should watch but I have absolutely no interest in
such as: saving private ryan, backdraft, that one with mel gibson where he has a mullet and he runs and yells lots, constantine, etc

i mean it's ok
i have seen bits of it and my dad is always "YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS. IT'S GOOD" and I'm all but I don't want to fucking watch it so I ignore most of it

he's the sort that when he likes something he'll play it to death
I swear I was at my parents house every night one week and he watched Book of Eli every fucking night.

The only one I'd say was worth watching out of that lot is Saving Private Ryan
but really, I watched that again last year after seeing it when it first came out and cinema's come a long way in the short time since.
