Man, it's dead today
I just watched Anchorman, finally, it wasn't bad. What haven't you watched that you should?
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:22, 73 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
My waistline.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:26, Reply)
I watched that again the other day, it's good shit.
Watched Tron Legacy again last night on a big TV in HD. Stunning, stunning film. I'm watching Despicable Me at the moment, it's keeping me giggling. Spirited Away after that, if I make it. To turn your question on its head, I recently watched ALL of the reboot of Battlestar Galactica from start to finish in about a month. Best. Television. Ever. and I can't fathom why I left it so long to watch it.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:26, Reply)
I've just watched a documentary on t'internet about manga and it was very interesting.
Those Japanese are way too fucked up.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:28, Reply)
They are, some of it's wonderful and some of it pushes the boundaries way too far.
Had a good day?
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:29, Reply)
Having the Japanese culture re manga explained to me, I can now understand it's popularity.
I've been busy today which is good. I now have beer and wasabi peanuts.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:32, Reply)
Damn, wasabi peanuts are like sex in my mouth.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:37, Reply)
They're nice but I wouldn't go that far.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:40, Reply)
Thought you'd have preferred salted nuts for that!

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:46, Reply)
I actually watched all but the last season of BSG
Couldn't be arsed to watch the end. Lots of people have said it's good, though, and I've somehow managed to avoid spoilers so I might get round to it at some point.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:34, Reply)
It's worthwhile - it really wraps the whole series up and leaves a few nice open questions that will keep your brain going for a bit.
I loved the whole thing thoroughly, though there was a rather dark, depression period in the last series which I struggled with for a while.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:36, Reply)
people are always telling me about films I should watch but I have absolutely no interest in
such as: saving private ryan, backdraft, that one with mel gibson where he has a mullet and he runs and yells lots, constantine, etc
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:42, Reply)
Constantine is ok.
But I like that freaky God and demons shit.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:43, Reply)
i mean it's ok
i have seen bits of it and my dad is always "YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS. IT'S GOOD" and I'm all but I don't want to fucking watch it so I ignore most of it

he's the sort that when he likes something he'll play it to death
I swear I was at my parents house every night one week and he watched Book of Eli every fucking night.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:47, Reply)
The only one I'd say was worth watching out of that lot is Saving Private Ryan
but really, I watched that again last year after seeing it when it first came out and cinema's come a long way in the short time since.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:43, Reply)
I'm watching something I don't want to.
"How to Bag Your Prince". It consists of getting dolled up, and "if you haven't gone to the right university, ply them with alcohol at their favourite nightclubs and you might be in with a chance."

Fuck off. I'm a bit angry now.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:43, Reply)
Wassup?

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:44, Reply)
No, it's just horribly consumerist.
Go to a posh club, spend a ridiculous amount of money trying to ensnare someone who has a lot of money by birth.

I know it's a joke, but still...
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:46, Reply)
I thought he met her at university?

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:47, Reply)
This is the advice the problem was giving.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:01, Reply)
That sentence doesn't make sense to me.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:03, Reply)
I think she meant programme rather than problem

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:13, Reply)
Ah! then fair play to her.
Lots of people hook up at university.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:14, Reply)
I'm not totally with it.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:31, Reply)
Get yourself to New Look
or claire's accessories.

They'll kit you out with some banging rigs. You'll be well 'wiv-it' then. Just like the cool kids.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:32, Reply)
I actually kind of love Claire's
but I don't have pierced ears so it's kind of pointless.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:34, Reply)
Can I enquire as to why your ears remain un-pierced
I thought it was 'the norm' these days.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:35, Reply)
Well
I had them done age 10 or so. The left was done at a weird angle and so it was almost impossible to get an earring in again. The right is still slightly open but I rarely wear one. I make up for it by having metal in my nose.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:38, Reply)
Haha!
You are aware of the calibre of ladies fashion shops. This amuses me.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:35, Reply)
Blousie. Shopping for ladies is one of my major skills.
I could be a personal shopper.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:36, Reply)
I hate shopping which is why I do most of it on teh internet.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:40, Reply)
I had guessed : )

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:33, Reply)
I got woken up too early for my liking this morning :(
I'm still exhausted from essay and exam stresses.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:34, Reply)
Oh dear : (
I have to get up early every day this weekend to walk the dogs. My mum is away and my dad is working.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:36, Reply)
I can't afford any lie-ins but at least it's a little under a month until I can

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:40, Reply)
Good luck with the exams anyhoo : )

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:41, Reply)
I've had a few drinks.
But I doing okay.

As you were.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:47, Reply)
I've got a few cans in
But I'm going to take it easy this evening as tomorrow is (apparently) going to be a Leo.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:50, Reply)
Leo?
Sayer?
The lion?
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:51, Reply)
Sayer.

All-dayer

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:10, Reply)
Ah!
Makes sense now.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:12, Reply)
Loads
still haven't watched Citizen Kane, Inception or any of the Rambo films.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 20:57, Reply)
I've watched bits of Citizen Kane.
Most of the Rambo films but not Inception.

I do have Lemmy to watch on DVD but I'm saving that for the right mood.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:02, Reply)
look I'm telling you right now that you all should see HBOs version of Mildred Pierce
omfg it was good, plus you get to see Evan Rachel Wood naked, but she looks like she needs a sandwich, i mean gross
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:05, Reply)
Despicable Me: worthy.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:07, Reply)
I enjoyed it.
Might take my nephew to see Rango when I get the chance.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:12, Reply)
Do Megamind as well
similar vein but more straight Hollywood.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:14, Reply)
You see, this is the problem I have.
There aren't many men my age who would enjoy watching kids animated films.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:15, Reply)
You'd probably trick some bloke who thinks he is going to see a cartoon
Only to find when he gets to the cinema, you've ordered tickets for Zombie-gore-fest 9 or something.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:26, Reply)
I once tricked my sister into watching Event Horizon instead of Romy and Michelle's High-School Reunion
she was a bit traumatised but there was no way I was paying to see that.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:28, Reply)
I've not seen either.
Is there a big difference?
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:30, Reply)
watching that movie once won me a pair of free tickets to the cinemas

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:31, Reply)
were you in one of those test audiences?
or did you just notice that whatsherface from Friends was just doing Phoebe and demand compensation?
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:33, Reply)
i don't know what "doing a phoebe" is
but they played a clip from the movie on the radio and i phoned in and won

i think the clip was "well i hope your babies look like monkeys"
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:37, Reply)
did they let you on air so they could announce you'd won and broadcast your hysterical reaction?
I love it when that goes wrong.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:41, Reply)
ugh they played what I said
sounded like I ought to be in the movie myself
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:46, Reply)
sometimes in moments of distraction we let ourselves down
a couple of weeks ago I waved to a colleague across the canteen by raising my hand and waggling my fingers. Unintentionally camp.as.fuck.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:52, Reply)
haha
i'm always making a fool of myself, you'd think that i'd be used to it by now

that's why i don't want to meet any of you, it's bound to go horribly wrong
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:56, Reply)
I've never met any b3tans or attended a bash
but I reckon if you show up to such a thing you have to be prepared to make a dick of yourself. A bit like a fancy dress party.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 22:04, Reply)
It's not all about the zombies Jeff.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:28, Reply)
What is it all about
Alfie Blousie.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:31, Reply)
Megamind went straight into my second-favourite animation when I watched it and you commented on my status.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:32, Reply)
Now I have to see it. I was in two minds before.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:33, Reply)
I reckon you'll like it, it had me giggling most of the way through and even made me go "Whoa!" a couple of times.

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:47, Reply)
Sounds good to me.
I'll stick it on my lovefilm list.
(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:49, Reply)
what sort of list is that

(, Fri 29 Apr 2011, 21:51, Reply)
like netflix
