Catullus.
I got really excited because I could translate the first poem really well, remembered relevant notes and know it fairly well now.

Have now ground to a halt with 2 as I cannot for the life of me fathom part of it. Fucking impersonal verbs.
On the plus side, there's a long debate as to whether it's really about a sparrow or a dick, so you know.

Alt: I reckon a Michelangelo. I really like his sketches. I do like me some pre-Raphaelite pale languid women, though.

I do enjoy him.
The one that begins with "come, hendecasyllables" is particularly good.
