Hmm...ever tried caviar or cod roe?
It's got that same sort of sea-watery taste but with meatier overtones. And it's pink.

Edit: I've just remembered you used to be vegetarian. The chances of you having tried caviar or cod roe are probably a little on the slim side, aren't they?
