My mate's brother
has written off two cars in 20 years; both times he hit a badger on the A1.

that's one fucking hard badger.

Mate of mine hit a deer in the New Forest doing about 95 .. sorry, dead on 60, officer ... on a Fireblade. Against all odds he survived and even kept the bike upright, if not intact. That's some luck. Or skill.

I have heard that insurance companies will not pay out
for deer collisions in Scotland on a account of it being a pretty regular occurrence.

A friend of my Mum
told me this, and she lives up on the Inverness coast. Happened to her son, I think.

Similarly I had a job getting home contents insurance a few years back because I lived above a baker's shop and was therefore an increased fire risk...
