well.
i thought racism was thinking badly of people based on their race, colour, creed, and justifying your treatment of them accordingly.

whinging in a flippant manner because you admit at the outset that you are too ignorant to understand names in other languages, and this is making your job a nightmare because it is impossible to understand from a long string of emails who is who, when the correspondents all address each other by different names depending on their relationship... how is that treating people differently? they're getting exactly the same help/advice as if they were called 1, 2 and 3, and paying the same fee for it, and i'm taking them for the same "get to know your client" lunch... in fact, they are getting better treatment because i've had to spend 2 hours longer on it for free trying to work out who all the individuals are, and i can't bill for that!

come on al, let's hear your explanation of how that is racist, i am genuinely intrigued.

genuinely?
because you used the word "Asian". You might not have meant it to sound prejudiced, but that's what makes it racist.

If your problem genuinely is with people constantly using different versions of their name in the same document (e.g. "Miss Swipe" , "Rswipe", "rach" etc) then why on earth did you need to mention their ethnicity?

genuinely?
because i am "an ignoramus" about asian names, not being from any asian culture. and these names in these documents are asian. it was a specific whinge about a specific task. where do i say that the clients are inferior or should be treated badly because of it? i say sarcastically that they should change their names so i can cope with it, which is clearly not a serious comment.

you say lots of things on here that are clearly not serious comments; does that make you a nasty little hypocrite, or does it make you someone who is letting off a bit of steam on here after a shit morning's work?

steady
I never said I seriously thought you were racist. I just told you why that makes your post racist.

At no point have I said I took your post seriously. You often put posts up that are deliberately inflammatory, as do I, looking for a rise, you/I provide one back, bit of debate, repeat ad infinitum. What's the big upset about this one?
