A nuke could centre on your house holding all your electronics and you'll still not only have all your books, but all your bookmarks.A book on the kindle system is linked to the account, they don't charge for re-downloading and your bookmarks, notes (you can write notes into the book) are all saved. They also have a built in dictionary and Wikipedia links if you don't know a word.
