That's probably the better option to have taken.
My hip is still giving me grief after my car accident, but it's much better now than it was. I hope your arms get better.

Are they giving you anything for it?
If you're still studying biomechanics maybe you'll come up with your own cure!
As an aside, if human/machine interfaces are your thing, look up Kevin Warwick, a professor at Reading Uni (Cyborg 2.0). He had connectors implanted into his arm so he could control a cybernetic arm with force-feedback. The guy who did the implants for him did my neck!

it's only stiff, not actually bad anymore.
It's only because I'm not well that it's giving me trouble. And I'm not doing biomechanics - I'm doing biomedical science. Christ I wouldn't do biomechanics, that'd confuse me too much.
