How good are you at being on your feet for 8 or 12 hours at a time?

fine pal,
quite fit for a big lad.

You could have a crack at being a plant operator, if such jobs exist round your way.
That's pretty physical.
(, Tue 7 Jun 2011, 20:26, Reply)
You'll need training to operate any plant surely.
Also, that kind of job attracts the sort of people who work on building sites.
(, Tue 7 Jun 2011, 20:28, Reply)
They'll provide that.
Also it may attract meatheads, but in my experience they don't last long. Besides being physically strong, you've got to be very numerate and keep your wits about you if you want to be any good at the job.

Building sites do not provide heavy plant operators with training
if they are only going to be there for four months.
(, Tue 7 Jun 2011, 20:38, Reply)
No, I'm talking about chemical or chemical-mixing plants here.
And even if the operator is on a short-term temporary contract, they'll need some basic training in order to carry out the job on the equipment.

that's a grand idea
but like Al said I would need training and am only available for a few months so would be a bad investment.
